Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, boleros from the past along with classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos as well as opera, and various other dramatic types. Her mother taught her how to sing, but she began more intensive vocal training by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera Tenor. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a scholar and professional. The year 2000 saw her move back to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she relocated to her present home in Southern California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with the traditional Latin American music at private concerts. as a music teacher and musician, she is committed to several community initiatives because of her love as well as a love of music. Ana was also previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and members of the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, she can instill enthusiasm, specifically for the young generation and keep the tradition alive.
